Editing your site by chat

Everything on your site can be changed just by describing what you want.

Pages

  • Rewrite or create a page. Describe what should change — text, a new section, a whole new page — and TOBY writes it. A page that doesn’t exist yet (“add a Careers page”) is created on the spot.
  • Delete a page you no longer need. (Your homepage can never be deleted.)
  • Ask what’s already there. “What pages do I have?” or “Show me the about page” moves the live preview there without changing anything.
  • Make several changes at once — edit multiple pages, delete one, and update your site settings, all in a single message.
  • TOBY organizes as you go. Once there’s enough content on one topic (a full menu, a services list, a gallery), it gets its own page instead of getting crammed onto the homepage.

Sections you can ask for

Beyond plain text, you can ask TOBY to add:

  • An FAQ with expandable questions and answers.
  • A callout box for an announcement, offer, or your hours.
  • A photo gallery you can scroll through.
  • Side-by-side columns.
  • An embedded map with directions buttons.
  • An embedded YouTube video.
  • Small status badges.
  • A single captioned photo.
  • A contact form or an ordering form (Business and Max plans).

Look and feel

Ask TOBY to change your brand name, primary and secondary colors, how rounded your corners and buttons are, your footer text, or the overall typographic feel (from clean and businesslike to playful or editorial-serif) — and to add, remove, or reorder links in your navigation menu, including dropdown groups.

Time-aware writing

Tell TOBY “we’re closed next Tuesday” or “back in two weeks” and it works out the actual date and writes it onto the page. Anything urgent — a closure, an event, changed hours — gets automatically placed at the very top of the page so visitors see it first.

Undo, redo, and safety

  • “Undo that,” “go back to yesterday,” “bring back the newer version” all work in plain language.
  • Every change you make lands on a private preview first — the one you see next to the chat. Your public site isn’t touched until you publish.
  • Nothing is ever permanently lost. Every past version of your site is kept, so anything you undo can always be brought back later.
