# Importing an existing site or menu

You don’t have to start from a blank page. TOBY can build your first draft from material you already own.

## From your existing website (“Modernize”)

Paste the URL of your current homepage and TOBY creates a brand-new site and drops you straight into the editor while it works in the background: it reads up to 25 pages of your old site, redesigns and consolidates the content into a clean page set (merging duplicate pages, dropping junk, writing tidy section names), and carries over your real photos and your own logo. You watch the new site fill in live.

## From a menu, brochure, or price list (PDF)

Upload a PDF in chat and TOBY reads every page automatically in the background — no request needed. Ask it to pull the actual **photos** out of the PDF (food shots, room photos, product pictures) and it will, skipping icons and repeated page decoration; you can steer it too (“just the food photos”). If a logo turns up, TOBY offers it as a candidate for your site.

Photos are saved to your library but never placed on a page automatically — you decide where they go. TOBY also adds a “Download menu (PDF)” link so visitors can get the original file.

## From a single photo

A picture of a business card, storefront, or menu is often enough on its own — see [Photos & your logo](/docs/media/) for what happens when you upload one.
